Popular Post Matthew King Posted November 22, 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted November 22, 2020 (edited) Drivable wheelchairs I believe could make some interesting roleplay scenarios and could make some characters even more immersive than they are at their current stage. Wheelchairs can be bought by EMS and given to civilians who have been 'medically checked' and some people may even opt to create characters with no lower leg function which could bring unique RP scenes. Obviously the only issue I can see coming with it is a cluster of people in wheelchairs when it is first implemented however, with all new things I believe they will slowly decrease in usage until people who really want to use them are using them. I believe they should only be purchasable by EMS or you need a wheelchair permit or something of the sort in which you can apply via DOJ. After events such as; Large car crashes/accidents in which EMS believes anyone that would not be able to walk again, also, people could be wounded in shootouts or stabbings and be confined to a wheelchair for a set amount of time but once again this is down the the EMS operator treating them and if the the Player goes with it. Just an idea I thought that would be a great addition to the QOL of the server and wouldn't expect to be prioritized given the circumstances. Lemme know what you guys think! Love Y'all! Carl Berg Posted November 28, 2020 Report Share Posted November 28, 2020 you could also restrict the wheel chair to only be usable in a certain area, such as pillbox, for the initial stages to prevent misuse and everyone in a wheelchair on the roads causing a pd nightmare. But once you have a genuine person wanting to use one, turn the restriction off for that wheelchair and then they are free to roam. Not only would it open up the possibility for different kinds of people on the server that as Matthew said, if they wanted to play a character that had no feeling in their lower legs etc. I think that it should be something that is only purchasable to EMS then the wheel chair would be registered to the characters ID and as someone said before make it so they can not be lock picked that way there would be a lower chance of them being misused. We have tested wheel chairs in the past I know that in prior testing on the wheel chairs there was a game breaking bug which caused players driving the wheelchairs to be able to drive through objects. Leeroy Denkins Posted December 7, 2020 Report Share Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) I have not tried this yet but theoretically you can do a sit chair emote and have LSFD escort you and push you around.
