Take away the whole menu, in that case, to save space? Dragging can be done with escort and stabilization is seldom necessary in practice.

This is not a good idea, honestly. What if there are no EMS and a cop goes down? We can't revive even our own cops, and EMS has not been around as much as usual lately. handcuffed or not, we cannot pick up others as LSPD.

Misquote? I was saying that the other two options are unnecessary to have another menu in the list for.

With or without the menu, you cannot revive anyone unless signed on as LSFD.

That's the spirit

Alrighty then... I guess I can always sit at the desk in mission row and do paperwork.

Or think hard before switching to lethal and try to find a way to negotiate (you know RP)... or use less than lethal force.  Before we all run to jump of a bridge let's give this a try and provide actual feedback based on experience.

I’m going to whole heartedly disagree with cops no longer being able to revive. I think this leads to a complete gameplay change in the server. I think it will lend itself to more abuse and disruptive behavior. Oh EMS isn’t on? I can act a fool go shoot up some cops and the city can be without cops for 15 minutes. Or I can act a fool get downed and not suffer the consequences for my action by just seeing the light.

There has to be some kind of compromise that would better protect the city.  If we get hit by mass rdm’rs - we have no choice. I for one won’t be on duty without EMS now. It’s not worth it to be shot down and have to start all over again when I’m here to protect the city.

This. I agree with the change as a whole, cops should not serve as EMS from an RP perpsective. However, this is still a big issue. The only logical fix for this is disallowing civs from seeing who is in the EMS dispatch channels in the same vein as disallowing them from seeing the Police dispatch.

If there is no EMS on and someone decides to shoot all the cops, then there are no cops to revive you either, so nothing has changed.

If things do follow suite with this hotfix/update, Please consider adding a ATM by the PDs so we don't have to carry around cash on ourselves for new vests.. (You know this could get dirty if there are no ems available at the time.) That's my final suggestion. Have a great weekend. (I typically carry around 10k on me per shift for items needed, etc. and if no ems are around, RIP $ If killed...)

I'd like to share something I posted in the LSPD chat for everyone to read also:

Quote

So folks, I'm hearing a lot of fears - it's natural to have concerns over change. But I implore you to give this a few days and provide actual feedback. You have all been here long enough to know that things evolve and we learn and adapt. Please keep that in mind. This is not the end of the world and it's a chance for us to adapt. A change was needed to address some specific issues and this is part of that change process. So let's all stay respectful and have an informed discussion (informed meaning based on experience not fears).

And this was Speeds follow up

Quote

To add on to that, this is not the final change. This is a test to see how things go on the more dramatic end of the spectrum. If it doesn’t work out or becomes problematic, we WILL revert it. Expect more changes soon. This is something I’m monitoring very closely. Please give me your feedback, but please base your feedback on what you experience, not your fears.

This is not the end game... we are always changing, evolving, and improving.  Please provide your feedback but take the time to experience it and give an informed response.  We are monitoring and listening.

Civilians cant see either anyway..... hence why you see posts in the help channel ask for EMS and or Cops

I think this is all blowing a little bit out of proportion. Changes take time, and hopefully if we all work together we will see the intentions behind this decision, but it doesn't happen overnight, and the world is not ending.

We are used to a system and now we try something new :) something that is intended to actually improve things in the long run even if we don't see it right away. Let's just give it time, Speed said they are working on other things related to this aaaaaand if all fails and the world does end, then they can always revert it. I personally hope we don't have to, I have faith in humanity lol. We are flexible, resilient and we can adapt, so let's!
