Razec
Hey folks! Hope everyone is doing great!  I have read a lot about this topic in previous feedback posts and felt like I wanted to say something about this. For me, current economy status is based on Police/Criminal interactions and if not so, you`re either rolling as a Paramedic or a Lawyer. I have played Arma 3 RP for a couple of years before joining FiveM. This is how it worked: The highest risk/highest paying jobs were obviously criminal related activities. If you wanted to go full legal, making money wasn't too much of a hassle and there were players that actually preferred to stay clean (and did have a healthy option to do so). I believe this is almost the same logic used in Badlands RP, considering the balance AKA money to work ratio isn't quite great. Back in Arma 3 RP, making 10-15k doing legal jobs would take you roughly 1 hour. In Badlands, the only way you'll make that cash is if you always roll with Brewery work (and that's not easy). The reason I say current economy is based on Police/Criminal interactions is because most players want to make money, so they can buy their cars and possibly houses, right? Showing off cars and power is part of the RP scenario, brought by Economy. The problem surges if you don't want to go full illegal. Legal jobs take a long time to complete and the pay is, pardon the words, horse shit. The other day I spent 1 hour collecting underwater treasures and only received 4k for the trouble. That includes buying a boating license, buying an actual boat and pulling it out of my garage. The amount of money I spent on all of these activities only got paid because I run drugs most of the time. For underwater treasure hunting, for example, the payout should be better, after all, you aren't purchasing all of that expensive equipment for nothing. I do understand this is a full blown Realistic RP Economy and things are mean't to be easy. But stimulating legal RP activities with cash influxes would be certainly very healthy to the current state of the Economy, after all, this is a game. I have seen lots of responses in previous posts claiming "Why are you worrying so much about Economy, this is a RP server!". You see, the choice to implement Economy in a RP server and it's consequences to the player base we're obviously foreseen by the Administration/Development team. Consequences that regard people wanting to make money. And, in this case, making money is RP.  This is just how I feel about Economy in it's current state. If the balance between legal and illegal jobs was just a little bit corrected, the server wouldn't be all about Cops and Crooks. Edited September 2, 2020 by Razec Few grammar corrections here and there.
