NHDott
For a long time I've been thinking about job center roles in the city. Mechanic is easily the job that gives most interactions but there must be other jobs that can also increase interactions. My idea is to include trucking more within the community, I myself have never done it but to me it seems like a whole lot of driving from one location to the other without seeing or hearing from anyone. Maybe a way for restaurants to request for a trailer of food and a food trailer for that restaurant gets added in the trucking rotation. Mechanics to start selling tankers of fuel so they can offer another service if they choose. The request button for this would be accessible by only colleagues. These trucking interactions and new jobs can also mean for a new possible robbery for Crims, maybe one of the pickups is something valuable meaning the trucker would prefer to have a team helping escort. I don't really know, just an idea. I'm sure there are more ideas thst can stem from this but I just thought it was a good idea and would be good for Trucking Interactions in general. " Quoted for truth. I've done a load a truckin and it's rare to run across anyone at the pickups, I was kinda expecting to find a trucker community centered around highway truck stops.. In fact, if there were a few highway fuel, food and drinks vendors that sold exclusively (and a bit cheaper) to truckers that have have their truck parked nearby. Then the chances of initial interactions to get the truckers talking would go a long way to letting them build to a critical mass sufficient to trigger trucking radio channels, and businesses focused on the truckers and these locations. Frank Frost
Was typing up some thoughts on Truck&Go site, and suddenly though the method would be to set up a truckers HQ somewhere, and have appropriate signage that gives the needed information for those just into the city to start to get in contact on the radio. Once they work out where to buy a radio ^^ In fact, that could also significantly help getting truckers to chill in a specific central hub, as opposed to a pickup hub It would need a small cafe, and some pumps, and a great dropoff location for shipping since it could potentially accept any cargo if the area has a distribution warehouse. Then you have all external hubs send you to the warehouse for a lot of runs, and very rarely send drivers from the external hub directly to another hub Edited July 3, 2022 by Theurgist
