Chris Gonzalez
Put this in the wrong place before. My friend Ben Boil and I were talking about a more complex vehicle modification system since cars seem to be a big part of roleplay with their ability to be customized. We went to the small building with a paint room next to the parking garage at Crusade and Capital and thought it would be a good location for our idea. We had an idea to use this garage as a place with 'exotic' upgrades that would allow for pearlescents and tier 4 upgrades (brakes, ems, etc.) as a special shop. Along with this, being a chop shop, but being a player controlled place where the player choosing how much to sell everything for, but at the same time they have set prices the player has to pay for each upgrade item and pearlescent paint so that the player decides their profit and can actually make deals. Along with these deals there could be a similar system for getting cars chopped, where the mechanic gets a designated price for each type of car and agrees with an amount of it to pay the player that gave them the car. Doing this would make a more immersed system to upgrade your car fully and give designated mechanics to be able to work at this shop and any other decided shops instead of mechanic's only job being repairing other's cars. All together this would create a more realistic and fun scenario for any roleplay dealing with cars and upgrading them. First, how would you decide who would run it? also, there has to be a way for the person running it to work. there is no point in grinding gold, meth, pot, etc, if you can just sit in a room, waiting for people to get come in, and sell them stuff.
Chris Gonzalez
I do agree that it does have many flaws, but that is why it should be looked at. It was also just a quick idea that I came up with when I heard people complain about being mechanics which could add to a mechanic type job. Also with my poorly communicated explanation of the money system it wouldnât make much revenue unless players felt generous enough to pay extra and chop cars for low returns.
