Removing free housing and adding spawn points across Blaine County.

Howdy folks!

Personally, I dislike the idea of the Hotel or any kind of free housing structures. It's soo easy to just pull up, grab your stuff from your easily accessible and non-raidable 100kg storage. It's effortless, there's no fee and no danger. It also doesn't help the Real Estate business. If you could pay for the hotel and it would only last you a few hours, I think that would be a lot better. You could ideally choose where you wanted to stay, either Pink Cage or the Integrity Apartments. What about opening possibilities across the county too? Sandy, Paleto. I also dislike the fact that the common spawn point is only within Los Santos. With the amount of new opportunities and businesses rising in the greater Blaine County area, why not add Sandy as a spawn too?

What do you guys think?

The only thing that I worry about with this is the ability to "spawn" in a different location each time you wake up, which could be taken advantage of. I don't think that's what you're suggesting, but I think it would be cool if that's one of the first things when you join the city, choose your hotel/apartment and you stick with that choice until you move into a house or change apartment buildings.

I feel like the ease of living in the government provided housing is a good way to level the playing field between new and existing players. If there's too much of a grind for new citizens, they may not want to stick around. There was another topic about the hotels, I think there are some great suggestions going around in that thread. I'd love to see more variety of living locations and I agree that there should be a way to enter eachother's apartments, especially for PD raids.

Regarding the spawn, it's mainly for new players. So it would be chosen first thing when you joined up. Whilst I do understand the nature of why the spawn is set at Integrity, the lack of that decision making also hurts the distribution of players across the entirety of the map. Now, there's no objection towards the fact that the city is the easily accessible core of the map, but giving a chance to other, lesser explored areas, could be a interesting path to take.

I believe adding hotels would be beneficial - perhaps having varied prices for different locations as well as different advantages such as location, different storage limits, etc. I also think the integrity storage should be smaller. I definitely feel a lot of people could happily live in Integrity forever without need for a house. By having added benefits of hotels around the city (I know on a previous server you could pay per day or per 7 days) it would mean people are travelling to/through parts of the city that are less used, could reduce issues around Integrity like the shootings/kidnappings/people automatically going to Integrity to check for people during hostile encounters, and generally bring something new for people who can't afford a house but may want something similar. I think entering each other's apartments could also be beneficial, you could also do this with hotel rooms, as long as it wouldn't be a way for people to flee from police (they should be able to access those properties in the case of hot pursuit rather than someone poof into an apartment and be lost).
