+1 The new process of getting coca leaves is not enjoyable as it is only able to be done one time per storm meaning max of 17 seeds a day. (I love the method of getting them just not being limited to doing it once per storm) The Value is a little low considering how much time it takes to make it as well as how it is limited to how much Cocaine an individual can make due to the process of getting seeds. (No other drug in city has a limit to how much you can make in a day)

Have you considered networking and buying seeds from other people?

Sure you could network them through people who already collect them but even then you'll have to convince people who know the location to sell you the seeds which again at max would be about 17 a day. Also unlike many of the other drugs Coke is not common knowledge so not as many people to buy them off of.  It used to be like 100 leaves per hour now its 100 if you are lucky per day. A cooldown could be a simple solution after completing a job you could come back in x amount of time or even like different tiers of jobs (harder jobs) to reward more seeds.

ill be honest, I fuck with the new cocaine update for a few reasons.

1. it combats the issue we had before of people coming into the city brand new buying a shit ton of leaves and metaing coke location. It now requires time for these items.

2. its interesting, and if the spot is something that will remain there it means leo can raid the lab and while the lab is down you can build more leaves.

 

my stance on "Buffing" it. I personally do not think the price of cocaine needs to be increased. there are 3 ways this can be improved.

1. I think a reputation system like boosting has is the best. As you increase your reputation you get more seeds. maybe at max rep you get twice the seeds(equivalent to 200 leaves a day give or take which equates to about 76k after they are sold as coke) . say it takes 10 runs to get max rep, your rep restarts when you go to prison.

 

2. simply buff how many seeds you can get by maybe half. not enough to give 200 leaves but around 150.

 

3. this one handles the main issue with the seeds that comes up, without getting into too much detail I was asked for x item tonight. said Item cost 5k and is not something you can just go out and collect, its a made item that is rareish. now im not against things like this but i do feel they should be removed from the normal list and it and items like it should be added to a challenge list. every once and a while there is a chance it will offer you a challenge, if you accept you get a harder to come by item but also get 2-3x the seeds.

 

main thing i compare this too is while yes balance is important its difficult to say that a nerf to cocaine was essential when hunting and trucking have remained the best money makers in the server for months by a long shot, to the point people cant even hunt to enjoy the activity because there is a gang of like 12 people hunting all hours of the day, and crazy ass truckers just blowing past people not giving a care in the world outside of gotta go fast. on account through this we are only able to obtain about 36k worth of drugs per storm is a little low. again i dont think changing the price of cocaine is the answer, because I myself have a large quantity of leaves on stock and others have far more, some people have stocks of like 10k leaves and when you consider 1k leaves will net you around 500k increasing the price of coke would break the economy even more than trucking and hunting. The only way to balance this is to change how many seeds you get, or how many leaves you get per seed.

Current system is good, and I agree with Atryus. It's fairly balanced.

What I will state is that it doesn't help the fact of what people say on twitter either, making it known to god and everyone's mothers.

It takes appox 1 hour to cook up 100 cocaine. Now thats not including the time to actually get the leaves. While other drugs are taking only 30 mins for 100. So if you equate that to cocaine then your doubling your money doing other drugs. So yes Cocaine selling prices to locals need to be increased. Also, not everyone is wanting to sell you their leaves.

As I said my primary issue is being limited to how much we can make and that being based off how lucky we get with being given a random number of seeds for a random job once every storm. Posting on twitter does not make sense as police can see it as well as the entire city even if you say tea leaves etc.. its all the same.. I'd like to see a money adjustment for selling or the ability to collect more seeds yourself. Even when buying seeds its still groups of people who know them unlike other drugs so it really isn't as simple as "networking" the seeds as there is limited supply and a lot of people who know of them  use them for themselves/sell to locals themselves.

There's a lot of people who don't use them though. Just gotta make some connections. Also, don't post on Twitter to buy drug ingredients lol. You just gotta find people and have them sell them to you. It's all about that networking rp

It’s really not. I think the initial concern is the time and resources it takes does not equate to the money. Meaning it’s not worth the time and effort for the money you get. It’s not just getting the seeds. Also kinda strange to go buy seeds from people who stay legal. The concept is good but not practical.
