Denver
So for the last few months I have been trying to think of a way to own an insurance agency in Badlands. However the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it is only really dependable on mechanics, and not RP. So here is my idea for a car insurance agency mechanic in the city. People would be able to pay a premium each month for a specific vehicle, the price of the premium would depend on the sticker price of the vehicle they are trying to insure. Back in the day there used to be this thing called "Vehicle Recovery" however this would lead to people not being careful with their vehicle as every time they lost it, they could just pull it out of recovery again. The way this system would work is something new and very different. Once someone that pays a premium has lost their vehicle due to it exploding or being water locked, or whatever, the vehicle owner could go to a specific location and pull out a stock version of their own insured vehicle that would be available until the next storm. (and to make sure people won't just pull of thousands of free cars) People would get access to one insured vehicle per storm, a message from the insurance agency: "Cars don't grow on trees, you better be careful with this one". Now to ensure that people that get pulled over in these vehicles don't get hit with "Possession of Stolen Vehicle", the vehicle would come back being registered to "Los Santos Insurance Agency". I really hope this feature comes off the ground. Not only because insurance would be great, but also because I made a logo for this "Los Santos Insurance Agency" which would have been a business owned by me.. Logo down below and free to be used by the admin team/ developer team. MercilessKiller
I like the idea definitely something I'd like to see further discussed I can see how it would bring some good and valuable RP to the city as well. It also makes logical sense to use a temp vehicle while you wait for your "destroyed" vehicle to be restored opposed to getting your burnt to a crisp vehicle towed and fixed at the snap of your fingers. Not much different from having your car stolen, chopped and reappearing after storm only this way you pay the premium and get a temporary replacement car until your vehicle is restored. Would the insurance also cover stolen vehicles? I don't know how much work this is to get done by the staff/developers but I think this has great potential if its able to be done also nice Logo! That said +1
Leeroy Denkins
I did this back in 1.0 and I got called a scammer. So I embraced it and scammed people for 5k and I would ghost them. LOL

If the stolen vehicle is still driving around, no. That would be used to avoid the roleplay of finding the vehicle etc. Only if the vehicle was destroyed by said car thief, would the car be insured. That's just my opinion tho.
Alex Ripley
Two things, 1st +1 I do like the idea and it would add to the role play as in the city it is not illegal to not have insurance like it is IRL. But when i pull someone over and I ask for License, registration, and proof on insurance. I know that the only thing as a player im going to get is the ID but they can role play that they have insurance and its registered. This would to that as police officers would now know if the car is insured in case something happens. 2nd is with how you said plates will work, if someone steals the car that the company gave out for insurance how would we know its stolen.
