Kai McKee / MoistGoat
So there's many occasions where people don't bother to read the message every time you join the server, (people have asked how to do things that were on that menu) or take the time to make an account and find the rules. So what my suggestion would be to add something like drivers school at the stairs of the subway perhaps, where they have to read the rules, maybe even a small test to see if they even bothered to instead of ignoring them. This introductory stuff could even come up if it's the first time you've joined the server, maybe a flag in their save file like "HasCompletedInduction 0" then we could possibly do away with the menu that you see every time you join the server - though the good reason for that staying would be the fact everything is being loaded.  Just a thought. It can get cumbersome to have to aid people on setting up their mics and worry about getting VDM'd. Might also weed out the people that join with the sole intention of disrupting the server. Bob Johnson
I'm in favor. I think it also would have been helpful when I was a newbie.
Bret Prozekt
As good as it sounds, it's practically the same thing as the pop-up that tells you all the info needed to start your RP in the city.

Agreed, if people ignore the starting pop up,  (ignore the forum address at the top of their screen to read the rules) then they will likely ignore/pay little attention to any other material provided. Also itâs adding OOC info to the test which could be a lil immersion breaking, I like the idea though, it is a shame a few people try and ruin it for others.

Maybe the player has to complete a "scavenger hunt" of tasks before they can make money, or something along those lines.
