Kiloriffic
When I first started the game a month or two ago now everything was working fine. Somewhere in the past week or 2 though I've noticed that voice chat with other players has gotten tough to deal with. About 50-75% of the time other people talk all that comes out is stutters of every few words and I can't understand anything. Has gotten very hard for me to want to do anything other than trucking or solo content. Anyone know what kind of issues I am having or how to fix them? Have tried changing whisper/normal/yell level while listening, turned voice chat on/off, turned down input levels in game, and even went as far as reinstalling FiveM. Someone please help? Bret Prozekt
Sounds like it's your internet connection to be honest.

Now that you mention it, I have recently gotten a new modem, but it was an upgrade and shouldn't be the problem. I can run my computer playing games, watching twitch, and on discord, my tv watching hulu/netflix, and my daughter is on youtube on my phone with no issues other than the in game voice chat and most of the time I don't have all of that running at once. Just odd that nothing else stutters or buffers...
Bret Prozekt
Yeah, If you made changes to your modem it's more than likely your connection to the server. The only time I have issues with my voice is when I tab out of the game and come back. The voice stutters a bit and goes back to normal shortly after. Â Yeah, upgraded the modem because we found out our old one wasn't able to handle the amount of internet we were actually getting and we were throttling ourselves. New modem = faster. How is it causing me issues? And any idea how to fix them?
Bret Prozekt
Have you rebooted your new modem since you've gotten it? Try the usual tech support steps and see if it helps you out a little..
Chase McCane (Fludiddy)
Well, it could be how it prioritizes data. There are some settings you can go to that will help with that (QoS settings)... Especially, if your new modem is a combo modem/router - it could be giving data priority to other devices on your network vs the priorities that you may actually want.
