Denver
So, how about instead of getting rid of the old police cars completely, turn them into civilian cars. Strip all PD stuff, change the handling a bit and make them available for civilians. Keep the nostalgia instead of getting rid of it. May already be too late for this and or be too much work, just kept thinking about it. So he's my suggestion, so that I can finally let my mind rest. :^)

Them driving around, caused criminals stop doing crime as I was going to said call as they were there and this happened multiple times, which leads me to believe that the same could happen here. Kathryn Davies
+1, this would help UC cars blend in better as opposed to how easily they can be spotted right now (crime SHOULD be a risk, not just rocking up somewhere and doing crime and waiting for cops to come, you should feel threatened even on the way to do said crime) and it would be nice to see some retired cars on the streets even if we personally can't use them on duty. Not doing crime because they know police are around actually takes from police RP as much as it does criminal RP. Criminals wait around until police are otherwise occupied to do robberies and shootings. Making the environment better for undercover cops means criminals are going to have to say "screw it" at some point and take their chances, which makes crime more exciting, nervewracking and fun because they never truly know what's going to happen or what those officers are doing at the time. This might bring up the question of whether or not payouts are worth the risk with more undercover vehicles on the streets, however police continue to be limited in how many vehicles they can pull out at once, so the same amount are on the streets, you are just taking more of a gamble as to whether or not the vehicle you have seen is an officer or a civilian. Not to mention, if these are retired cars, seasoned criminals will soon learn the difference between models and be able to distinguish a retired model from a current undercover model.

MJ.
-1, I personally hate seeing old PD cars turned into civ cars IRL. Def dont want to see it in BL.
vDrop
-1 / There's enough PD on duty. Having so many vehicles that look like UC's will deter crime more, don't think that needs to happen. At least not yet for the idea, one day. I personally IRL slow the fuck down when I think there's a cop watching, just to find out its a nerd whom bought the vehicle. Even IRL it deters crime, no thanks lol

Even IRL it deters crime, no thanks lol Expand Its not about marked units, it's about UC's not being recognised for being a cop instantly just because civs don't have such cars. It would improve RP and the way criminals handle crime. It wouldn't deter crime, just improve it, which tbh we need cause its just the same shit over and over again rn (most of the time)

Don't think the OLD vehicles need to be retired, None of the vehicles are actually retired anyways. Think the answer should rest with PD using civilians vehicles as under cover vehicles rather than civilians driving modified "old" police vehicles.
dK_
id love to see old pd vehicles recommissioned into civilian vehicles, but in limited numbers. it would be cool RP to have an auction for them aswell to help offset the cost of the new fleet.
