It's just virtual stuff and is very much tertiary to any of my character's purposes. As an admin, seeing how there is a large number of new players who have just gotten themselves established, how much some people value the cars and things they worked for, I see how disheartening a wipe could be. There's definitely players who are grossly richer than others due to how long they've played and balance issues with jobs. dK_ Posted June 1, 2022 Report Share Posted June 1, 2022 I just don’t understand what a wipe would do without a full and complete economy overhaul, given a few weeks every thing will be in the exact same spot as it is now so what would be the point? I rarely have more then a few hundred thousand to my name untill I blow it all on something I don’t need. I see people with millions and several super cars and I could care less because it doesn’t affect my RP or what I’m doing. RockfordIceBenders Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM Report Share Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM As someone who has played here and there on servers that did a yearly wipe, the wipes really did nothing to balance economy truthfully. It still ended up being that the players who have been around the server longest, getting all the good info first, and becoming hyper rich again within weeks of a server wipe, so it was all in the same spot it was anyways. Aside from the community as a whole, one of the factors that has continued to bring me back to badlands, despite a few stints trying other servers, is how well balanced, for the most part it is, as well as that it is one of the few good servers I have seen that doesnt do those bs wipes. I think personally it would be disheartening to work so hard for things in server, just to lose it all to a server wipe and have to start from the ground up, just to lose it all again later on due to a periodic wipe.
