Atryus
It has come to my attention that police panic buttons have been made silent. My main issue with this is there have been countless issues with some officers using a panic button when they should not be. If as Civs/Crims we are not to use our radio when we have a gun held to us, cops should not use a panic when they are being held up either. The fact that it is now silent and we cant even tell when they abuse the panic is problematic. all this will do is lead from situations where cops are held up without being killed to cops just out right being executed every time under the assumption they most likely hit the panic button and called for a zerg rush. Personally I think the panic button should make a noise.

Rizz
Had suspects complaining about this in cells earlier today. Drove all the officers nuts. It's not silent as Tim said.
Atryus
listen only one solution at this point. Patch notes gotta tell people panic buttons are no longer silent. only solution. That or make them silent so you can make them not silent again.

The change that was made was that when one officer hits their panic, you can't hear it when you're standing next to another officer on the other side of the city, which you used to be able to. The issue with that being a thing was an officer would be there with their hands up and another one might stumble upon that officer being held up and push their own panic button, or another situation entirely, which would then lead to the one with their hands up getting shot due to mistaken panic. Merr Khan
What if the Panic button action had a forced emote, So the office that "Hits" the panic button moves, same as other hard emotes like drug sale or using radio. Even if the officer is down, and they hit it, it should be visible IMO. This way, the RP skill check is on the, "bad guy's", to actually watch the person they are holding. The Panic Button already does, it hold down the Radio'ing animation on the shoulder for a couple seconds.
