I think a good addition to this would be for cigarettes to also be addictive, but with less severe withdrawal symptoms. I was thinking maybe your food bar would go down by 2x if you don't have one within a certain period of time. It makes sense for them to have a negative effect in game as they do in real life. speed Posted November 26, 2018 Report Share Posted November 26, 2018 It's something I thought about when I was making the system (likewise with alcohol), but I don't think it'll actually happen. The reason for that is that drugs are a trade off. You get some nice perks for the potential of some pretty nasty side-effects. The same isn't really true for cigarettes or alcohol. Cigarettes only reduce hunger, so making them addictive would cause people to abandon them for real food, and it becomes dead content.
