Storrent Posted February 28, 2019 Report Share Posted February 28, 2019 Sometimes, there are situations that arise on duty that require certain officers to be talking without other officers hearing, but at the same time cannot pull each other aside for whatever reason. Sting operations and store robberies immediately come to mind, though there are many unpredictable situations that could require it that I'm not familiar with. A member of PD Staff may not be available for their offices to be used, either. I'm suggesting a channel or two (Tac-1, Tac-2, etc) to serve as alternate frequencies for situations like this.
