So i have been playing on this server for a couple months now. For the last month i would always be 5 or lower in queue out of 15+ but for some odd reason today when i tried to get jnto the server i was all the way back of the line!

my questions are

is there a priority system for the queue?

and if so what can i do to be top priority? Can i donate?

thank you!

Right now, Admins are the only people with queue priority. When someone crashes out of the game or re-connects, they are put in priority when they re-join as well. What you may have been experiencing earlier today was a white-listed job queue - but that has since been removed. FiveM prohibits donations for queue priority, and even if it was permitted, badlands would not partake in it.

Donating for queue priority would honestly be stupid. The way the queue was previously working was prefect. Having the fact that you have almost 15+ players in the queue and you are positioned at the end will make it impossible for you to join. Your only chance will be the storm and this is honestly frustrating.

I have no idea why the system is back to how it was, if it was forced by FM then let it be, but giving priority to LSPD and LSFD members was a brilliant idea. A city without police or medical assistance and full of new players, criminals and death is the worst thing to ever think of.

I'd add that there were already rules in place to prevent people from signing up for ems/pd just for the pqueue. Why not increase the mandatory on duty times for instance?

If staff wants to make sure there are ems/police on all three servers, removing pqueue will also take away players' flexibility to switch to a different server. With the waiting times today its impossible to coordinate or react on the ems/pd presence in the cities.

IMO, adding priority solely for being EMS/PD is not the best. There didn't even seem to be much increase in EMS or PD because of the priorities. The best way to do it is have LIMITED priority slots for EMS/PD, and requirements for being on duty to use them.

Personally, I used the priority quite a bit, I was always clocked into EMS / PD...

Unfortunately a lot of people are not using it for that though. They are just using it to get into the server.

But you play a lot of EMS/PD to begin with. Not just because of the priority. Would you agree with that?

Yes I did, however now with the priority removed the city is full and if stuck in queue, I don't get the opportunity to get in. I've noticed a drop in the number of PD over the past few days as well. To be clear, I'm not complaining, I was just stating a fact.

There has been a serious lack of PD presence and I truly think it has a lot to do with the wait times to get in. For the past week or two, I have only seen 4 cops on duty maybe 3-4 times, and more times than not, there aren't any cops or only 1-2. When the queue is running 30-40 deep only a minute after restart, the potential wait time is significantly too long for many (possible EMS/PD) to consider waiting and they will just leave to do something else. I understand the fact that people cant be forced to clock in if they come in, but the lack of PD has its effect on EMS when we have to leave patients or rely on civilians to help.

I believe this statement right here justifies why people who are known to clock on often should be issued priority queue.

I think a good course of action to create a compromise is to have X amounts of reserved priority spots, maybe up to 3 for each faction. Realizing that there would be no way for the queue system to determine who would be clocking in for which faction as many players are within each, I believe it would be fair that messaging an admin with plenty of prior notice to the reset in exchange for an extended amount of required time on duty could help.

That's why I believe there should be priority for a reserved number of slots for each, but there has to be a way to verify the person is going on duty. Otherwise it just gets abused.
