Starting/turning off the engine

So I thought it would be a little more realistic that when you get in your car, you have to actually turn it on (from the menu or add a hotkey for it) instead of automatically turning on. It would help cops especially when people try to flee on a motorcycle etc. And when you get out of your car, you should first turn off the engine or it will otherwise stay running.

This is just a suggestion and something that I would like to see implemented, just tell me what you people think about this! ^_^

I like the keep running unless turned off, since seems quite useful, specially at nights, instead of having to turn it on from outside to keep the lights on for example. Since turning the car on or off, without been inside, seems odd and could be replaced by this.

When getting in turning it on with the menu might be a pain in the rear. So I would rather just a small delay before the car turns on, like @Muroko suggested, or have it in a keybind. Would be neat to move the windows up and down, engine on/off, and such away from the phone and just as keybinds on the car when inside it as driver.

I prefer the keybind, just because I don't personally like that the car turns on automatically when you jump in :P
