Fuel in the city.

Me and @AtomicGinger were having a chat the other night about some cool ideas for Badlands, and one of them stuck out quite a bit for me.

Fueling the gas stations.

We see a lot of people fueling up at gas stations, but we never see the fuel being replenished. The idea is to add an additional facet to the trucking job and fuel mechanics where a player drives a RON tanker to gas stations and fills them up. Basically the reverse of filling your car. If a trucker hasn't visited a gas station in a while, its reserves deplete and players will be unable to fill up at that gas station because there's no gas there. This will create supply and demand, which is rad.

rise of the electric cars

EDIT: which btw could be also connected to the wind-turbine repairs. noone repairs wind-turbines, no charging your electric car at gas stations

EDIT 2: blackout in the city is something that came into my mind also. those mechanics need a real purpose too

Cool idea, really like it, just worried that in the wee hours of the night all of the fuel in the city will be depleted and we will all be riding around on bicycles. It already happens with EMS and police, having nobody on late at night to scrape bodies off the floor. It would require alot of testing and alot of balancing, and would need a pretty good payout or we'll all be riding bicycles to work.

Yep, I think the rate of depletion would take the most thought and testing. It may also encourage more players to buy a truck so they are capable of helping in that situation.
