  1. *in the Rock's voice* "FINALLLLLY.....we have come back.....to Badlands" I had some personal things come up last year and had to step away from the community for a while to collect myself. I am ready for BLRP to come back and get back into the RP. Definitely something that always made my days better...here we go...
  2. Good evening (morning for some) to the Badlands Community. As many of you probably don't know (or maybe you do), I lost my son, Eli, on 8/13 to a battle with leukemia. Because of this, I decided to step away from the RP and streaming in general to be able to spend more time with the family and grieve. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been slowing returning to the Twitch universe and streaming more, because I feel like it is what I have to do to help return to some sort of normalcy. I know that there was a page setup to help cover funeral expenses, and I cannot begin to express the amount of love that I have for the community and the giving spirit of those that helped out. It is truly a blessing to be a part of a community that is there for it's members. All of the love and the support that I have felt from this community over the past few weeks, it really blows my mind. So for that, myself and my family are extremely grateful for each and every one of you. It has been a very long month, a very emotional month, and there are still mornings that I wake up and look in his room, and feel like I am in a dream, wishing that I would wake up. I know that it takes time to heal wounds, and I am prepared for that. As some of you know, I believe in using my streams and my time on Twitch to give back. Since I started streaming roughly a year ago, I have done several fundraising nights, and I cannot express the outpouring of support that I have seen from this community. It is extremely humbling. With that being said, I would love to see you all show up again. On Friday the 27th, starting at roughly 8:00pm EST, I will be doing a 12 hour variety stream to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is not something that is hosted by Badlands and has no Badlands affiliation at all, this is just a guy who has been affected by loved ones losing their battle to leukemia, and I want to help do my part is helping to find a cure. It is not something that I would wish on my worst enemy...losing a child...something that no parent should EVER have to go through. If I am not allowed to post this, I understand, and I sincerely apologize. If I am allowed, then again, I hope that you will all come out and show your support! You can view my stream at: Again, I will be starting at roughly 8pm EST and going until 8am EST Saturday. I love you all from the bottom of my heart, and I will be forever grateful for the love and the support that you have shown. Thanks, Sgt. Placidus (Officer Matt Kenshaw, LSPD)
  3. Hey all! As some of you know, I do a lot of streaming for charity organizations or organizations that are there to help benefit others. Every month, I usually am raising funds for a certain charity. 2 months ago, I did a charity fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation, and then last month did a fundraiser night for Autism Speaks, in recognition of Autism Awareness. What most of you do not know, about 8 years ago, I retired from the Army. I served my time, and transitioned back to civilian life. It has been an adjustment at times, and there are many times that I wish that I was still in. You don't understand the brotherhood that you form with others in the service until you have served with them. With that being said, one organization that I have ALWAYS been in support of is the Wounded Warrior Project. If you would like to know more about this organization and what they are about, please go visit their site at: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ So, starting next week, and going through ALL of June, every stream that I do will be to help raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, and helping those that were hurt overseas help recover at home and get them back on their feet. I hope that you will join me in helping raise funds for this organization. My goal by the end of June is to raise $500 and I know that we have a community that is very generous and cares about those around them. I have seen communities come together here and be incredible blessings to others, and I hope that you will join with me in helping support this cause. To help sweeten the deal, IF we hit $500 raised, I will match the $500 and UP to $1000 for the cause as well. If the community helps me raise $500+, I will MATCH the donation amount!! Please join me in this cause, and I hope that we can help make a change in our wounded warrior's lives! Thank you for your time in reading this. I love this community, you are all rockstars!

  7. Welcome to the city! Hope to see you in it!
  8. Thanks to all that came out and hung out last night! Though we ended short of the goal I had set out, we still raised an incredible $50! That’s going to go to make a child’s wish come true! You are all awesome and I appreciate the generosity that you all have shown! From the bottom of my heart, my sincerest THANK YOU!!
  9. Hey all! In case you have not seen it on Discord, I wanted to share something with this awesome community! My brother was diagnosed with leukemia when we were growing up, and it was the hardest time in my life. Thank God he was recovered fully and is living and loving life. During that time, we were blessed to be able to go on a Disney cruise due to him making a wish through a company called Make-A-Wish. They grant wishes to sick kids to help them through whatever sickness they are going through. With that being said, TONIGHT I will be doing a LAN stream with a buddy of mine, and it has been on my heart to make it a charity stream! Every donation and bit that is given will be DONATED 100% to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant kids wishes! I will begin streaming around 8pm and honestly have no idea when I will stop. If you all could please stop in and show some love...every little bit helps! I want to thank you all for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you all tonight! If you are not familiar with Make-A-Wish, you can visit their website here: https://wish.org/
  10. Can we possibly re-visit this suggestion? I would love for LSPD to have an "Explode" feature when searching vehicles just to give a bit more immersion when it comes to searching vehicles.
  11. @NixonJones, once I get out of training, can I get mine done as well? Nice work on them by the way...they look awesome!
  12. Hey all, so as I was doing some scuba diving last night, I was thinking about the possibility of having some sort of buy back program for illegal items. For players, such as myself, who prefer to stick with making money the legal way, I really don't like the idea of going to the Black Market to sell my Lockpicks. Even if what I am doing is legal, me being there, is not. I was wondering how difficult would it be to implement some sort of spot in Mission Row PD, where you can take your illegal items, and sell them there so that they do not go to the Black Market? This gives a fully legal way to dispose of Lockpicks and still make some money from it. Probably would not be as much to sell at PD as it is the Black Market, but gives that alternative to those players who want to be legal. I would love to hear your feedback and opinions on this idea! Thanks all!
  13. I wonder how hard it would be to code in a "breathalyzer"? Here is the one that is used for LSPDFR, and have seen this work in other cities: https://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7892-breathalyzer/ @speed, is this something that would be hard to code in? Is it even worth looking at? Thanks for your opinions!
