Cop vest - Should only stop bullets

I'm not sure it can be done, but that's why i don't write the code. 

Is there anyway to make the LSPD vest only stop bullets? 

As in can we make fall dmg, traffic crashes, punches, and so on.... only effect your HP, and your character can go down with a full vest? 

 

(edit - seems like punches only effect health TY @AnonymousHippopotamus)

What about knives? Could be somewhat stab proof or no?

I watched a clip back of me getting punched down last night.  I had a vest on that was already damaged and the punches only hurt my health and then the vest disappeared.  I have seen fall damage take away vest HP though so not sure exactly how it works.

My reason is more this, Cop gets hit by car..... goes to PD for a vest, instead of going to hospital for treatment of his broken bones, cuts, and concussion.

I don't believe armor affects melee weapons, ive stabbed cops to death in 1 hit more than once. It seems really iffy aswell cause sometimes when i fall out of a car due to lag + no seatbelt i will get damage to armor but other times i get damage to health.

You dont wear feather pillows for armour?
