vDrop
Would be neat if when you tackle someone, that's a slight delay in the person whom got tackled, and can get up. Example, A suspect was running from the police, he tackled me and the other officers, but we of course were physically able to get up right away, therefore it gave the suspect no advantage. The situation works vice versa. The ability to be able to tackle someone, and have a split moment to being able to apply cuffs.
Igor_Vasiljev
Im pretty certain people would keybind that tackle option and just spam the fuck out of it to capture someone they are chasing after.

The tackle is already keybinded to Shift + Q? And it's hard to tackle someone, so it's hard to abuse it... It feels like you've never been tackled by a cop before... You literally have to stand inside eachother for the tackle effect to work. A tazer is already 10x better, since it has range. That's like saying "dont give police tazers since they will just abuse it to shit to taze every suspect to catch them!!!" Â But yes, +1, the tackle is too short of an animation.

But yes, +1, the tackle is too short of an animation. Iv tackled so much i don't even need to touch the person to tackle them. It's honestly very, very laggy. Like, Its hard to describe as its different for various people depending on internet connection but over-all tackling can be consistent enough, However the "connect" visually is very poor to say the least.  Anyways, Tackling can already be abused, Little known fact about it, It takes 3 people to successfully and permanently apply a permanent tackle to a person. By Permanent tackle i mean, If you tackle, Get up, Someone else tackles the target, they get up, Someone tackles that person again, By the time they get up you are ready to tackle them again. Effectively keeping them in one relative place.  Also, You can give people spinal injuries with tackling if you know how to power tackle, Not super tackle, Just how to apply injuries with it. Not gonna go into how to do that one but really tackling is very strong as it is. So i personally feel it should stay as is.  tl;dr: Its easy to abuse, Keep tackle as is due to the current abuses it suffer's from already.
RockfordIceBenders
I will point out that in a past city ive played in they actually have shift f4 as tackle and it actually looks like a tackle, as opposed to just diving. The character would actually grab the other and take them down, and it would hold both people down for a few seconds "wrestling" was cool, just don't know how it would work here, I may try to go back to them just to get a video of it in action
vDrop
What's a power tackle? There should only be one tackle, with Shift Q has designed. Is there another tackle that's being used? @Kevin Ross

And they can latch on from almost 10ft away its insane.

Honestly the server I was in you actually had to be facing the person, and within arms/ jump reach of the person. Â
