Tomas GarcÃa
Right now, if you get killed it should be by someone that you are interacting with, so forth you are probably aware of the players ID. So getting that info again, wouldn't hurt you in anyway. I suggest to add a kill message. If you get shoot down or killed by someone in a message should appear with the ID of who killed you, melee/weapon used, and time+date in EST . That would make reports way more easy and accurate in time. If the murder weapon was a car, if possible the plate instead of weapon. It's very helpful for RDM where the shooter is away to hide his ID. Since at the moment those can only be caught by admins and if they are at the right spot at the right time. For VDM if there is no way to identify the car plate then just mark it as VDM at least. Also if those messages go straight into a database or sheet that admins can check. Mass murders and Mass VDMs will probably stand out. And for the extra touch. If you can add the distance from victim to shooter, you will be able to know those that shoot from way too far. Which by itself might not be enough evidence but can give you an idea of what happened.
Anton
I like this idea, it would be very useful indeed, but i'm not sure its within GTA mechanics to identify your killer like in other competitive shooters. I may be wrong though and lets hope i am!

speed
This is something we've talked about before, although admittedly not put much effort into it. I believe the issue is that the existing "kill feeds" rely on the player actually dying. Since we don't actually "die" until we respawn at a hospital, this makes the kill feed pretty much useless since most people are able to get revived. That said I'm sure we could work something out if we really needed to.
Merr Khan
Well this would also help the police in Murder investigations. If it was done in the middle of no-were with no witnesses and the victim dies then there isnt much evidence. But when it happens at Legion, you bet your ass the news would be all over it. Someone would have seen the killer and know'n who it was. Maybe a sketch or photo would go out. It would not long before they find the killer.
Tomas GarcÃa
@Merr Kahn I don't agree with the kill message helping PD investigations. That info is OOC, no one that shoots you a bullet in RL gives you a visit card along with it. It's mostly to help Admins and players keep the city safer from those that shoot from out of number range, or that weren't interacting with you and will you without been in your range of view (like if I go on your back and shoot you). But one useful info that could be used IC, it's about injuries. Good for PD and paramedics. How many people got shoot and when PD or paramedics came they would just say "I passed out because of water" or "It was a muscle spasm" just to cover up OOCly the IC action. If PD/Paramedics get a feature called "Check" they could use as they RP looking at the one that's down, they could 'see' the real injuries. It also helps when some that are down don't use voice, because either they don't have it set up or because they think they shouldn't speak while down.
