More police buffs please cause they really need it....(sarcasm) what i dont understand is in the last patch i addressed this issue and we was told itll be balanced yet the balance has tipped even more one way.

How has the balance tipped?  Most of the time people were running drugs at no risk.  Meth was a prime example where you could simply go to any corner of the map and cook with hardly any risk.  This change adds the sense of risk to illegal activities.  People need to consciously choose which activities they take advantage of to earn money.  Illegal activities have a higher risk but also a higher payout.  Legal activities have a smaller payout to match the lower level of risk.  As the dev team has mentioned more changes are coming soon which will balance out the economy, provide more jobs, and add more ways to earn cash.  As Sneaky has eluded to, there is no exact science here that helps tune the economy.  They are making small, incremental changes, to gauge the impact to the server population and then tweak again based on what they see.

I have been watching the impact of illegal activities after the ability to seize vehicles was implemented.  It's anecdotal evidence, but I have seen an increase in legal activities and a decrease in illegal activities.  But for those doing illegal activities i have not seen a high rate of seizures or busts.  The police force, when on duty, is often busy with a variety of activities and are not always able to patrol the illegal areas.  This has given many drug running ample opportunity to make their money.  In addition, the 6 times that I have used the informer have lead to stale information - IE no one was at the location given to me.  It's not as OP as some might fear it to be.

Keep the feedback coming in a constructive manner.  I can assure you that the team here is taking in all the information and making changes based on it.

@TiLLeR I also think that the impact in illegal activities was small. But the reason is way different.  I usually try a bit of everything in games to see what's the option that gives me the best return. And if you put into account the time invested for each activity, then add the risk of doing each one, the outcome of if thing go well and if things go wrong. Then most of the illegal activities is not that worth it. I didn't do the hard numbers, just did it mostly by what I felt like it, but I'm nearly certain that's the case.

Before the peaches boost on the magic tree, and the nerf on the sale price. If you were lucky to do not have many people doing peaches, then you had the jackpot. If you needed money, that's it. Because the travel distance from gather to sell was very small, along with having three trees which even with 2 people doing it, would recover faster than you can sell. Then it came the boost on the tree, and peaches became so popular. Later on nerf on sale price to balance things out. But even like that, it might be one of the best ways of making money, if cash is all that you look for.

I'm using gaming language to analyze the jobs, and that's not good, we should be thinking about RP and not what gives the most cash. But after all one of the big drives of our characters should be getting money. If someone doesn't need money, that would mean the system is not working, since in real life, we all need money to keep going month after month. So all the characters should have that need, same as they need food and water. Economy in a small system like our city is hard to handle, less than perfect and takes a lot of tweaking. A small change here or there might make the whole system turn around. So sure needs time. But also needs feedback. In my opinion, if too many people are hanging without the need of a job then something is not working. And by a job, I don't mean 'come into GTA to grind like if it was your 2nd job', that sure will be bad.   We need jobs that keep our characters motivated, cross paths with other characters and so forth generate RP.

@Biggs I think that what I said also addresses a bit the topic you brought up. Police are far from OP at this moment, and even if the PD was OP wouldn't be that bad unless they abuse it. i think that even if 4 cops are online no one is going to call a APB on someone just because they run a red light. But some tools are needed to handle lets say a maniac that's making the city upside down, and not letting the rest of the citizens enjoy their time on the city. In my opinion everyone should give their point of view about the new changes, but also give some room to see if they become good or bad for the community before crying out 'wolf'.  I'm currently a PD recruit, and believe me, I'm all up to make it fair for criminals and citizens. Any kind of 'game' where things are unbalanced is not fun.
