Fixing hats

I was wondering if it would be possible to move the hats on characters up a few cm. As of right now, there are major clipping issue with both male and female hair sticking through hats. It's not realistic that you would need to go bald or have super short hair in order to wear a hat. Hats are a good way to express ourselves and our styles so it would be nice if we could utilize them more in game.

+1 for days, constantly having to change hats if i get a haircut or change hairstyles...

+1, this would make it so female characters could wear a lot more of the hat options with the great hair styles that were recently added.

+1 We got hats for Yellow Jack employees, but it’s the tight baseball cap which clips through every single female hair so I’m unable to use it

+1 Thiiiissssss. I'd love to rock a cowboy hat. Pretty much all of the nice female hairs don't work with the hats.

If you guys submit bug reports for which hats and hair styles they may get fixed faster for you guys. I have submitted one but if more reports are done it may actually happen.

Hats and masks clip through some of the custom hair styles because of the way they are streamed, custom hair if like most servers are being streamed to the server just as custom hats are, so it'd be the same as shirts clipping through jackets, arms clipping through shirts, etc.

There is a way to fix it, but they have to rework the way the EUP is streamed, so when a hat is put on, the hair is changed to one that doesn't clip, and taken off, it changes back etc.

The best way to fix this is to make hair an item that you can put on and off like they do for the vest and shirt and stuff. This way you can take off your hair and it goes to a non clipping one.

That wouldn’t work for females unless every female wants to be bald.

There is a mask in the game (ID is around 120 for males, unk for females) that forces baldness. For those of you that don't have a lust for anonymity, it's a crude fix.

Generally goes for clothes too, there is a mod or at least expansion to FiveM that lots of other servers have that fixes clipping with clothes, hats, masks etc.
Would be a great addition to it all.

This is a bit more complicated than you guys may think, (as far as im aware) each model would need to be moved vertically up in a model editor, and that may take a while for how many hats there are,  and the adjustment may screw things up for some other hair styles. Not 100% certain though

As one of the few people that helps with the new clothes and hair stuff brought into the city. Reality of the situation is custom hair for the most part are not modeled with the idea of wearing a hat. Sometimes you get lucky. It's possible to accomplish without the going bald method but would be an extremely tedious undertaking to my knowledge.

+1 for it.  But I also understand where Kota and Spartan are coming from.  This is probably a huge undertaking and not quite an easy fix.
