Daniel Moses
So recently i found out that the police doesnt use radio. I would sugget to have as other RP servers that when a cop is on duty he MUST go in the radio. also when he is 10-76 to somewhere important or got a 10-80 or anything like that he would inform the other officers (examples included but not limited). Also, ive been told and acually saw myself that when a cop does speak in the radio, he has radio animation but he isnt talking in-game. this is i assume so i wont hear what he says (?) wich is strict powergaming. so i thought better RP would be that the cop will talk both in game and on radio. tell me all what u think 1
D. Torretto
Hmm. Well if they were to speak radio chatter over the voip as well is would cause officers around to hear an echo and noone likes that. Plus we don't use codes like that as this is a casual rp server.
Daniel Moses
even if the cops would hear their friends twice i will be for 5 seconds or something.. not that much of a big deal. Also civilians need to hear what the cops say if they say it near them. Also, you dont use 10 codes here?!
Anton
unfortunately there is no 10 code for RDM and VDM , so no
D. Torretto
As I stated above. We do not use 10 codes because this isn't a hardcore serious rp server. This is a relaxed rp server.

I can't be bothered to look it up...
Daniel Moses
Lmao. 10-80 is a car chase and 10-76 is when you're enroute to somewhere
Rex Thunderslap
10-76 to my 10-20. 3, 10-32s with Class 2's are 10-80. Multiple 10-0s in the area  ...Rip....Cops IRL don't use that many 10 codes anymore. Most is plain speak. "Control, I have one running SB from my location."

speed
7 hours ago, Daniel Moses said: tell me all what u think I think you belong on a hardcore RP server. So yeah, you've probably gathered from the other posts that 10 codes are not, and never will be a thing. This is for multiple reasons, mainly that it requires a lot of memorization for almost no benefit, and that's not something we're going to subject our officers to. Plain English is much more effective. @Rex Thunderslap is also correct in that 10 codes are being phased out in the US. Here's a USDOJ paper on the subject. http://www.co.washburn.wi.us/images/custom/departments/emerg-mgt/PlainTalk.pdf
Rex Thunderslap
That article is spot on. That's how we trained. There are a few 10 codes we use so that the bad guys don't know we're talking about them, but even the seasoned bad guys know the lingo. The TLDR from @speed article:
