TiLLeR
Sigh.  Merr itâs an allowed game mechanic so please stop trying to assign a negative adjective to it.  You suggestion is noted and I understand your opinion on it.  I happen to disagree with the suggestion and do not support a change to the code to force it.  For now it is not meta gaming or power gaming.  Itâs an allowed mechanic that we will not punish for.
DTheOneD
Exactly, so that's also a kind of power gaming as there is no way we can determine where the sound is coming from.
Anton
i think it's fine how it is. if we would push for more realism, it would upset a balance, which would force criminals to stop doing crimes and you would literally be stuck with issuing parking tickets as an officer. same reason the joker never really wanted to kill the batman
Gambino
Based on 1st person logic, it must also apply to driving vehicles, as you can often see around corners etc and it can be very useful when in pursuits but not really the most effective or even fun way of doing things. Storrent
Throwing around buzz words won't solve anything. In any RP situation in any game, realism sometimes has to take a backseat to game mechanics. If this were to get implemented, it'd be a slippery slope down to forced first person in all situations.
