Whitelisted Gruppe6 Security Job

I am currently roleplaying as a Gruppe6 Security guard that patrols all the Illegal areas. One obvious downside to this RP is that im getting paid the default rate, $200. If this could become an actual Job then I would like to see that the pay is around possibly $700 to $1000. I don't want this job to be as well paying as the cops.

Another reason why I think that this could be a good job to have in game is because whilst im canvasing the illegal sites it means that the cops don't have to patrol those areas leaving them more opportunity to catch other bad guys. It would also add an extra risk to the guys doing the illegal drug jobs as they will have people actively patrolling the sites that they use.

Thats the basic things I would want added. The following things are more for immersion sake.

Just like the Emergency jobs have special Vehicles, it would be nice to see this job have special vehicles. Ofcourse even if the jobs gets them it wouldn't mean they are exempt from all road laws after all they aren't Government jobs, they are private sector jobs.

Below are links to a few mods that i would suggest.

Please reply with other possible ideas for this job suggestion, and reply with whether or not this would be a good RP job.

This is a sheriff's department in disguise, which has been tossed around the PD since the server began, and it's always been met with a no. It's simply too complicated, with jurisdiction confusion, faction imbalance, the inevitable "x department is better than y department" argument, and so on. If you want to beat the baddies, the LSPD will be your best bet.

I wouldn't say that its a sheriffs department in disguise. Its far from it. We wont have the power to arrest people. We have no jurisdiction, again we are not a police force of any kind. I have no idea what you mean buy Faction imbalance and the XorY argument.

We will literally just be patrolling so the cops dont have to and in return we make some money.

The only sort of "power" we will have is the power to ask people politely leave the private premises and call the cops on those who refuse, which ever citizen of the US has. We don't need the cars. it would just be nice for immersions sake. They are not undercover cars either. All of them are plastered with the Gruppe6 logo so any criminal will be able to spot them a mile off and have a chance to flee without the cops being called. The lights would only be allowed to be used on the private property we are employed to patrol. If they are used on the roads then that is illegal and a felony.

Its our Patrol and guys doing that are the bad guys! What security company you know patrols drug areas? And you making contact asking them to leave will most likely get yourself shot or shot at. Personally, this is a bad idea for this reason but could possibly work in other areas that arent illegal.

fair enough. it could be good to just patrol the stores you can steal from and the place you convert and sell gold, cos i know they are hot spots for felony.

It would be cool to see private security patrol the legal making money areas.  Like the gold turn-in and the casino.  I personally had a gun pointed at my head leaving the casino.  RP'd the crap out of it and got away, luckily.  Or even just for-hire security.

Exactly one of the reason why i want to have this become a thing because then theifs have to be more careful and it makes things like gold running less dangerous. I too have had my car totalled at the gold smelter and robbed at gunpoint at the seller.

Couple concerns I would have with it.

1. They shouldn't make as much or more than an EMT.

2. Do we really want more whitelisted jobs? Sometimes we get a lot of cops and EMS on duty and it has a big impact on RP opportunities with the citizens. With security, you are possible adding to that number "on duty", watering down the civilian base even more. Just a thought.

1. I agree with you on that one.

2. I think if that becomes an issue then the job should have maybe a limit has to the number of "on duty" security. The only reason why i think it would be good to have it white listed is because if we had random people doing the job then they could do things that security guards shouldn't. IE armed robbery / muggings. attempting to arrest people for traffic infringements / other illegal things.

There would definitely be a limit, just like there is with police and ems. But it would have to be really low, like 2.

I like this idea and often act as a SecuroServ guard for whatever will hire me and my guys. we just paint our cars the same and RP it. it would be cool to see a job like that. idk if it necessarily needs addons and stuff and it would be a little hard to do if whitelisted. You would definitely need to make sure it was understood that gruppe6 or SecuroServ do NOT have police authority at all

p.s. contact me if you wanna join up and and RP this, that sounds interesting

I don't think this should be a whitelisted job, it should be something you could easily do when the chamber of commerce gets activated. maybe by then they could bring a car (not necessarily skinned but maybe with the features of unmarked police cars) to be used as an asset for those companies.
