Popular Post ___
I was thinking it would be nice to have /LSPD & /EMS commands available in side chat to display messages instead of people using twitter and including that they're a officer or member of EMS. I believe it would help messages be clearly understood & recognized, and would allow people to mute twitter if they wish without missing potentially important messages from each faction. I can't think of any immediate drawbacks to this right now but I'd like to see what others think! Â
James Conway
Good idea, the first week I joined the city I remember seeing a lady say in twitter "(LSPD) The annual purge has started", and everyone was confused for a few moments before someone actually from the LSPD came and set everyone straight saying it was fake. Putting something like this in place will cancel out anything like this happening again, and will be a lot easier to decipher impostors from real faction members.
Kilo
dont forget there is noting wrong for a ems to jump into pd channel and vise versa if it calls for it.

I think you're missing the point. I'm talking about if PD is looking for a lawyer, they can do /lspd Looking for a lawyer..etc. or EMS can say /ems Clocking out for the night, stay safe! And these will be displayed with a EMS or PD message instead of through twitter. Edited January 22, 2019 by Juan McMillan

Frank Thornberry
I think this is a great idea. I have myself missed multiple tweets from cops because I've not paid attention to twitter leading to my cars being impounded. This is something that should be added I feel like and then we also don't get confused players that thinks non LSPD are LSPD. +1
Caralanco
Very good idea, Maybe if when you put in the command, it would automatically put [EMS] or [LSPD] in bold and in a darker shade of red/blue. The rest of the text could be very pale variants of said colors. LSPD: primary - #0066cc secondary - #99ccff EMS: primary - #8b0000 secondary - #ff6347 Edited January 7, 2019 by Oscar Wilde color codes for text 1
BlackMagic0
I think this would look nicer. Like "LSPD Alerts" or something. Instead of some tweet. +1

TheWhiff
I definitely support this idea. Maybe removing the character limit for PD and EMS alerts as well. It would be nice to be able to make PSA to the general public when on PD duty without only having a 160? character limit. ImVexal
Will also assist with the UC stuff as using Twitter for [lspd] displays your name! Edited January 9, 2019 by ImVexal
