Popular Post Missladee Posted May 27, 2019 Popular Post Report Share Posted May 27, 2019 So this is something that has been on my mind for a while, so I finally decided to put in a suggestion and my thoughts on it. As a Role-player I love things that bring more immersion into our RP. That being small things and details here and there. So I love the fact we have access to our cars in allot of places around the city, that is great. But I feel that for the purpose of it being an RP server and for the immersion I'd really love to see the way we go about purchasing cars change. My thought was, to have people actually have to go into an actual dealership/car sales/ rental place to purchase their vehicles. Like it would only make sense right? like dont take out the garages form some places, the ability to pull your car out from different place and put them away can still stay the same. But when it comes to purchasing them I feel it would be more realistic to have to travel elsewhere to get them. One it will prevent people in crowded garages to car shop and take their time there when others are just trying to park their cars into the garage or take them out.  I personally love the idea of having to say " I got to go to the dealership to get my new ride." and actually go there instead of a random garage in a parking lot. If this could be implemented that would be awesome. There have been a number of new folks to the city ask me where the dealership is or who sells vehicles in the city. I explain that you can just go to any garage and buy them directly. It would be nice to have a dealership (or two) to say "Hey. Go down here and speak to John. He'll set you up nice." The only thing I've seen with this type of access, however, is that it's usually restricted. Some cities only allow vehicle sales when someone is working the dealership. I can see the potential annoyance that nobody is working the car dealership and folks can't buy a vehicle. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

At the very least lets separate "Garage" and "Car Dealership" instead of both of them being accessible at the same time. Make a little yellow circle at the car dealerships around the map and you can then buy cars there. Until we expand and can depend on their being at-least one dealership open at all times to avoid that announce. Adding a new job at the job center that's a car dealership employee would be cool. Maybe even make it more diverse where the higher end building sell exotic and sports cars, and the lower tier buildings sell cheaper cars. Cant by a lambo at a regular degular used car dealership, and cant buy a 1995 used toyota at the lambo dealership. (since it's a rental place) I agree with everything you said. +1 To add, If Ozzie's idea is put into place, I think the meth RV should be exclusive to the Route 68 dealership. I could also see someone RPing a sale man and know a little knowledge of the cars and speeds so can people ask questions and find a right car for the right price... I see a lot of good things come from this and as Victoria said to at least separate the garages from the purchasing of cars. Mr Chow Posted May 31, 2019 Report Share Posted May 31, 2019 A lot of people ask questions about what car is best, some dude asked me what cars are good for drifting etc. I think it would be great from a RP point of view to have people who specialise in car sales working at a dealership or a tuner/mechanic shop.
